Drift Ice

The “pack ice” season in northern Newfoundland takes place every March. I travelled to Fogo Island to document the glacier ice as it drifted down the Labrador current, surrounding the small  island and expanding a mile out into open sea.

“53 Degrees” and “Drift Ice”are parts one and two of an ongoing series about the three stages of water—liquid,  ice, and gas. The third project, titled “Vapor”, is currently being documented. **
