Sea of Faces
“Sea of Faces” is my tribute to the people of Grand Manan Island in New Brunswick, Canada. The images tell a tale of a community who is ruled by the sea, the ebb and flow of the tides, and the harshness of an economy whose lifeline diminishes further each year. Each picture was taken to create intimacy and a vantage point into a life full of prosperity and also despair. A world ruled by the ocean and lives lived according to the tides and the struggle that surrounds this occupation. My hope is that each image will allow others to recognize the importance of their sense of home and the relentless journey each one of us has.
